We are saddened to announce the death of our comrade Gianluca Matioli, at the age of 49, in Murcia.
Gianluca was nominated for the Champions League game last Tuesday faced UCAM MURCIA against AS Monaco, not being able to officiated him when he was admitted urgently at the Hospital Morales Meseguer in that locality. Unfortunately, he was unable to overcome the health problem and passed away today.
From AEBA we want to show our deepest sorrow for this sad news, and we send a big hug to his wife and daughter, as well as to all the Italian basketball.
